PARNNGURR HEALTH CLINIC TELFER, WESTERN AUSTRALIA
Contract value: $2.2 million
Completion: 2020
Client: Punkurunu Aboriginal Medical Service (PAMS)
Type of project: Health – Construct only
MRN Construction, the market leader in remote area construction of new modular buildings, built the Parnngurr Aboriginal Health Clinic in the Western Australian Desert. The clinic was specifically designed to cater to the healthcare needs of local indigenous communities. MRN worked closely with the client, architects Kaunitz Yeung, the local community and local government to ensure the clinic’s design aligned with the unique requirements of the area.
MRN constructed and installed the modular building on a superior concrete base with site-built infill works. Given the challenging climatic conditions with temperatures regularly exceeding 40 degrees Celsius, sustainability measures were integrated into the design and construction process.
Despite the complexity of the project, MRN’s proficiency and experience allowed us to deliver the Parnngurr Aboriginal Health Clinic on time and within the allocated budget.
