MRN Supports Regional Communities

MRN Construction acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we operate our business across Australia. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
Our Commitment

MRN Construction has long been associated with regional communities across Australia, notably in Western Australia, South Australia, and the Northern Territory.

MRN Pathways Program

MRN Construction is investing in the future of the building and construction sector.

As part of our commitment to building a sustainable and skilled workforce, we have created the MRN Pathways Program. This program is designed to train and nurture aspiring apprentices, providing them with the skills and experience needed to become a valuable member of our team.

The MRN Pathways Program offers career pathways in

  • carpentry,
  • steel fabrication,
  • wall/floor tilers
  • and office support roles.

Training is held at our WA-based construction sites in Maddington and Pinjarra and our NT manufacturing facilities.

As a host employer to apprentices and trainees hired by a Group Training Organisation (GTO), we ensure the continuation of their employment. This provides a secure pathway for aspiring apprentices to enter the workforce, and it helps us meet client needs and timeframes during peak construction periods by increasing our workforce.

Through the MRN Pathways Program, we are addressing the skills gap at a grassroots level, ensuring that the building and construction sector has a skilled and sustainable workforce for years to come. Our commitment to our apprentices extends beyond their training, as we are dedicated to nurturing and ultimately recruiting them as part of our team on construction sites throughout Australia.

Sentenced to a Job Program

Our Pathways Program provides work and training opportunities to local people. Through the Sentenced to a Job initiative, we have provided career pathways for indigenous youth and people serving criminal justice sentences, including traineeships and apprenticeships.

This paid program, which has been running since 2014, gives people within the justice system a second chance through education, training, skills development, renewed confidence, and employment.

MRN is Helping Local Communities

MRN Construction’s policy is to utilise businesses in the communities where we operate, including, wherever possible, for accommodation, trade supply, and civil equipment hire.

MRN is actively involved in ongoing research and development into providing better solutions for Indigenous housing and remote construction.
